Before you book.
Do you need write access to start?
No. The audit runs on a read-only IAM role and a Datadog API key with read scope. Write access comes later, scoped to the changes you approve, and you can revoke it at any time.
Is the audit really free?
Yes. It runs on read-only access, takes about seven days, and the report is yours whether or not you go further. We only propose the managed plan when the audit finds annual savings of at least three times the fee. If it does not, you keep the report and pay nothing.
How is the managed plan priced?
A fixed monthly fee, quoted at the end of the audit and scoped by your cloud footprint and the work involved. No percentage of your spend, no percentage of savings, and no annual contract. It runs month to month.
How do you measure savings?
We baseline your last three invoices and normalize for usage growth, so a bill that grew slower than your traffic still counts. Each month you see the same reconciliation we do, against your own invoices.
We're mid-contract with Datadog. Is there anything to do?
Usually, yes. Committed spend still hides waste in custom metrics, indexed logs and host counts. Cutting usage now lowers the renewal, and we plan the work around your renewal date.
Will this affect alerting or reliability?
Changes go out in small, reversible steps, in staging first where one exists. Iris removes noisy alerts, not coverage, and a senior engineer signs off on every change before it ships.
How is this different from a cost dashboard?
A dashboard shows you where the money goes and leaves the work with your team. DevLift's agents do the work, our engineers approve it, and the fee is fixed rather than a slice of your spend.
Who is actually doing the work?
Two AI agents, Finly for cloud cost and Iris for observability, run the analysis and prepare the changes. DevLift engineers in Dubai review and approve them, and they are on call around the clock for teams in the UAE, the US and the UK.
